At 27 weeks, the endocrine system, which is responsible for the production of hormones, continues to develop. The pancreas and thyroid glands are working more and more actively. The weight of the future mother continues to grow, and the baby is actively developing. This week is the end of the period, which is called the second trimester.
At this time, the child’s individual metabolic process is being formed. Interestingly, it will affect all other processes in the body of the future person throughout life. It means the ability to digest food, react to infections, stress and the like. From this week, the baby will grow significantly. This is a consequence of the production of growth hormone in one of the glands of the brain. For now, the baby still has room to tumble and move around freely. But very soon it will take a static position in the uterus.
In turn, the uterus rises higher and higher, making it difficult for the woman to breathe. Try to spend more time in the fresh air, because the baby needs oxygen as much as you do.
The nature of normal discharge does not change. They should be whitish in color and without a pungent odor. The only thing that may change is the amount. The discharge may become a little more abundant. Remember to pay attention to whether the color or consistency of the discharge changes.
If you have to sit a lot, take regular walking breaks and stretch your body. This will prevent swelling and varicose veins.
Communicate with your baby. This is a very important aspect of the formation of psychological contact between mother and child. Such interaction is sure to bear fruit in the future.
Watch the weight you gain. There is no need to eat for two. Take food in small portions, but more often. Enrich your diet with foods that contain protein and calcium: fish, beef, milk and fermented milk products. Eat soups, porridge, fruits and vegetables every day.
Do not ignore physical activity. Walking in the fresh air is very important at this term.
