The lungs of the unborn child begin to form surfactant, a substance that allows the lungs of the unborn child to stay inflated after birth. The size of the fetus reaches a length of 25-30 cm and its weight is 350 – 500 grams.
More and more rounded abdomen, in connection with which the center of gravity shifts, which causes a change in the gait of the expectant mother. Her gait during this period is sometimes called “duck walk”. There may be pain in the lower back.
Fetal movements become more pronounced and intense. The skin on the abdomen may begin to stretch and stretch marks may appear on it. In addition, itching may appear on the skin of the abdomen.
During this period of pregnancy, varicose veins may begin to appear. Heartburn may occur and sometimes constipation may also occur.
Weight during this period adds an additional 350-500 g, and the total weight gain of a woman since the beginning of pregnancy usually averages about six kilograms. It is important to pay attention to the diet.
